Test and Evaluations
At Wilmington Mental Health, we offer thorough tests and evaluations tailored for those in the Wilmington community and surrounding areas. Whether you need clinical assessments, legal & immigration evaluations, or speciality testing (e.g., ADHD, eating disorders, custody), we deliver accurate results with compassion.
What are Tests & Evaluations?
Our diagnostic assessments provide clarity about mental health, behavioral changes, and legal needs. These evaluations are essential if you’re:
- Experiencing symptoms that need diagnostic confirmation
- Preparing legal or immigration documentation
- Seeking clarity on cognitive or behavioral functioning
- Planning treatment, therapy, or specialized care
Each evaluation starts with a comprehensive intake to review your medical, psychological, and social history. From there, we use evidence-based tools to assess areas like mood, behavior, cognition, and risk. A final report and treatment or next-steps plan are provided.
What to Expect: The Assessment Process
1. Initial Intake & Screening
We begin with a 60-minute session to learn about your history, current symptoms, and goals.
2. Testing & Evaluation
Based on the intake, you may complete one or more standardized tests or evaluations—attention, memory, behavior questionnaires, or risk and diagnostic tools.
3. Feedback & Report
After evaluation, you receive a detailed written report and a feedback session where we walk you through the results and make personalized recommendations.
4. Next Steps & Follow-Up
We help you understand treatment options, referrals, therapy, or whatever supports your wellbeing best.
