Compassion Fatigue

Compassion Fatigue is a form of burnout experienced by individuals who regularly provide care and support to others, such as healthcare professionals, first responders, social workers, and other service-oriented roles. The constant exposure to the suffering and emotional needs of others can lead to emotional exhaustion, feelings of depersonalization, and a decreased sense of accomplishment. This can negatively impact both personal well-being and professional performance.
